We embrace joyful living, conscious language, and the deliciousness of food in its whole, natural state.

Looking for a raw food place to “eat out?” Looking for support, and the company of like-minded people who cultivate the raw food lifestyle? Looking to learn more about raw food?

If so, feel free to join us for this stimulating Raw, Vegan Potluck, starting June 4, 2010, and meeting every other week on the first (1st) and third (3rd) Fridays of each month at 7:00 p.m.

We meet at Regal Estates, 500 Enterprise Avenue, (in the downstairs court yard room) League City, Texas 77573 in League City’s gorgeous South Shore Harbor District.

What to bring:
* Bring your own lovingly prepared raw dish. If you’re new to raw food, a bowl of cut up fruit or a green salad without dressing is fine. First timers do not bring a dish at all.
* Bring your own plate, cup, fork, spoon, or chopsticks, and eating and serving utensils (to minimize trash and stay green).
* Please bring your recipe (so we can share them on the website) with the complete list of ingredients for those with allergies.
* Bring your relaxed self (and possibly a friend or two) and be ready to share, and enjoy vibrant, delicious food! Well-behaved, closely supervised children are also welcome.
* Musical instruments are encouraged.

Share your ideas and recipes while enjoying mouth-watering, palate titillating dishes, and people on the same wave length. You will enjoy the support of the entire raw community south of Houston, including Galveston, Clear Lake City, Texas City, South Houston, Friendswood, Webster, LaMarque, Santa Fe, Alvin, Pasadena, El Lago, Seabrook, Nassau Bay, Taylor Lake Village, Clear Lake Shores, Kemah, Bacliff, Bayview, and fabulous League City where we are based. You will meet and congregate with some of the most interesting people on earth!

What does raw vegan food entail? Raw foods are foods that are prepared with minimal processing and or dehydrated at temperatures below 105 degrees Fahrenheit. (105—still alive!) Drying foods at these low temperatures approximates the natural process of sun-drying, and in turn leaves the food bursting forth with enzymes, nutrients, and vitamins still intact.

We explore the varying aspects of this lifestyle through thoughtful discussions and personal interactions at the pot luck. We also learn by viewing cutting edge videos and raw-based movies, and through celebrity guest speakers who visit our pot luck from time to time.

What to expect:
The potluck starts at 6pm in the beautiful Downstairs Courtyard Room of Regal Estates.

The pot luck is free of charge. Donations to cover the Meetup Website are not mandatory, but are accepted. Thanks!
